  • In the last article I addressed overcoming the fear and how to deal with external pressure.

    As stated previously if you believe in yourself and your dreams then nothing will stand in your way.

    So now that we have dealt with internal and external pressure it is time to take action.

    Like mentioned in the previous article you may not know what the right steps are and you can model people who have achieved similar goals to you and amend to suit your needs.

    Modelling is a great strategy and I am aware sometimes it can be challenging to find the right person to get advice from

    This is where I would get you to ask yourself, what do you think your first step should be?

    What is something that will help you get from where you are now to where you want to be?

    Taking that first step is usually the hardest but will be the step most worthwhile. It will lead you down the road to achieving your dreams.

    Once you know what the first step is, go ahead and take it and don’t look back.

    Taking the first step is the hardest but what happens when you stumble?

    Will you get back up?

    Stumbling can be beneficial as you may pick up some helpful hints to get to your dream quicker or easier. We all stumble and sometimes crash right into that hurtle, the only thing that matters is that you pick yourself up and keep going.

    When it comes to overcoming challenges ask yourself; what do I need to help me move forward?

    What is rally stopping me?

    The last question is very powerful as often what we believe is holding us back is not really what is holding us back. Once you have identified the challenge you can then figure out a way to move forward by asking yourself how you can overcome this obstacle.

    So once you have overcome any challenges all you have to do now is plan what steps you are going to take.

    Remember sometimes you need to start off small

    Ask yourself what is the very first step I need to take to accomplish my goals and find ways to make it happen. What you focus on is what you get. So if you focus on achieving your goals, you are setting yourself up for success.

    So go forth, focus on what you want, think about what you need to do to get there and live the life you were supposed to live.
